Programmer Analyst (#133585)

Our Edmonton client, the most diverse company in their industry with expertise in all areas they operate, have an immediate need for a permanent Programmer Analyst. This position offers a great compensation package.

As Programmer Analyst, your role will be to:
.Writing Stored Procedures in SQL 2005/2008
.Developing N-Tier Applications
.Gathering requirements from various levels of stakeholders
.Designing Graphical User Interfaces using VB.NET
.Report writing using Crystal Reports for .NET
.Interfacing with 3rd party systems / existing in-house systems
.QA Testing custom developed applications

As the ideal candidate you have the following experience:
.Post-Secondary degree/diploma in software design or a related field
.2-5 years of experience in software development industry
.Proficiency in object-oriented programming
.Understanding of database design principles
.Knowledge of software design techniques, practices and principles
.Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
.Experience with Visual Studio.NET and VB.NET required
.Experience with SQL 2005/2008 required
.Experience with Crystal Reports for .NET required
.Experience with Microsoft Platforms: SharePoint, MS Office Integration
.Experience with MS Office development (e.g. VBA for Excel and/or Word)
.Knowledge of Citrix and/or Terminal Services

The following will be considered an asset:
.Web Application development (e.g. ASP.NET, Ajax, HTML)
.XML Experience
.Developing and Deploying Web Services
