Department Mandate:<br />

Position Summary:<br />
The Information Analyst roles are varied combinations of quality assurance, governance, coordination, vendor management and data provisioning. Job Responsibilities:<br />
· Ensure quality of the customer centric system.<br />
· Subject matter expert and governance on the integration, matching, placement and flow of CTFS customer data.<br />
· Identify customer data quality issues, opportunities and alternative solutions.<br />
· Maintain test cases and results, oversee testing process.<br />
· Explain and promote customer centric system capability. Participate in development of new business cases.<br />
· Continuous learning with respect to data management and data quality and its impact on the business.<br />
Note: Position is currently located in Welland and is scheduled to move to a new facility in the Great Lakes Business Park, Superior Court, Oakville effective March 2011.</p>
<p>Qualifications<br />
Must Have:<br />
· Strong analytical ability with experience applying those skills to identifying, resolving and preventing data quality issues.<br />
· Ambitious self starter able to manage work priorities towards objectives.<br />
· Good communication and facilitation skills applicable to governance and coordination role.<br />
· Ability to use physical and logical data design, data flows to help clarify issues and solutions with business or technical participants.<br />
· Solid SQL type skills or background with demonstrated ability to develop and learn.<br />
· Good overall knowledge of ETL type issues and solutions.<br />
· Ability to connect data management principles to business benefits.</p>
<p>Assets:<br />
· Excellent knowledge of CTFS data, its uses, current strengths and weaknesses.<br />

<p><span>Creates category, assortment, promotion, and pricing reviews, analyzes data to uncover regional &amp; customer trends, presenting findings to brand/customer teams. Creates and updates customer specific plan-o-grams to enable execution of shelving strategies. Executes post promotional analysis along with financial analysis to maximize promotional/program efficiencies.</span></p>

<p><span>·         Provides detailed sales information focused on key categories/customers to create insights and solutions that solve customer opportunities. Assists with category sales development priorities within a Customer Business Plan, including sales trend analysis, consumption analysis, in stock analysis, shelving and promotion evaluation. Monitors, measures and communicates the status of metrics against customer based initiatives and expected impact to near and long term demand to the sales team. </span></p>
<p><span>·         Provides concise analysis and reporting on a regular basis for major accounts (e.g. monthly, seasonal and year-end reports) on state of the business.</span></p>
<p><span>·         Prepares additional analyses and reports requested by customers. </span></p>
<p><span>·         Responds to internal stakeholder requests for training, category management tools, plan-o-gram information or customer level analysis.</span></p>

<p>Position Description: The Macro Analysis and Research (MAR) unit has a dual mandate:<br />
- To disseminate strategic intelligence on money laundering and terrorist activity financing to partners, stakeholders, and the general public; and<br />
- To research and develop techniques and/or tools that continually enhance the Centre’s ability to deliver high-quality financial intelligence and to ensure compliance with the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA).<br />
Your task is to support the Centre’s production of strategic intelligence on money laundering and terrorist financing by mining data for previously hidden knowledge.<br />
You will work in close collaboration with other analysts on the team to conduct medium to long term research projects. Your main tasks will include participating in the definition of research questions, manipulating large datasets, conducting various types of time series analyses, conducting other complex data analyses and interpreting the results.<br />
<strong>Screening Criteria</strong></p>
<p>Education: Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (for example, econometrics, finance, epidemiology, statistics, mathematics) with a specialization in time series and other forms of complex analyses, such as data mining techniques, statistical analysis, or a similar field.</p>
<p><strong>Experience:</strong></p>
<p>A minimum of 2 years experience conducting time series analyses and interpreting the results;<br />
Extensive experience using analytical software to conduct time series analysis (e.g. TSP, R, SAS’ SPSS, and Matlab);<br />
Experience conducting multivariate or data mining analyses and interpreting the results;<br />
A minimum of 2 years experience in querying, screening, cleansing, organizing and analyzing large data sets from various sources; and<br />
Experience in designing and carrying to completion research projects involving large data sets. </p>

    * Ensures availability of education and training in information management principles to external users and staff whose jobs require them to access, create, maintain, or use operational data and information.<br />
    * Acts as Privacy Coordinator, auditing reports to ensure the privacy of personal health information.<br />
    * Interprets data and formulates decision alternatives substantiated by data findings.<br />
    * Plans new data development strategies and makes process recommendations to ensure data quality and integrity, and standardization of methodologies.<br />
    * Data mining and statistical analysis techniques required</p>

Our goal has also been to share and exchange sql programming, Data mart, data warehousing and reporting experiences.</p>
<p>Our web visitors are regularly reading the above contents, we noticed that people are also looking for information regarding job descriptions, salary ranges and clarifications on technical terms which appearing on job interviews. In view of that we that we decided to add jobs category related to this field, since job contents are itself very self explanatory and clearly indicate job descriptions as wel as many new technical terms  are introduced / we become aware of, due to dynamic nature of Data analysis and business intelligence field.</p>
<p>So from now onward, visitors will also be able to find jobs on our website which are best fit and aligned with the goals and spirit of datamart.org. </p>

<p>We are currently seeking a QTP Automation engineer with hands on manual testing experience in delivering high quality IT systems and applications within the finance industry. As one of the key members of the QA team, you will be responsible for the testing of real-time trading platforms and back-end databases.</p>
<p>Qualifications:</p>
<p>·         3+ years of creating and executing automation test scripts using QTP</p>
<p>·         5+  years of data analysis using complex SQL queries</p>
<p>·         5+ years testing OLTP applications</p>
<p>·         2+ years of development experience (development background is a must)</p>
<p>·         knowledge of QA methodologies, SDLC, and experience in all test phases</p>
<p>·         Hands on experience with creation/execution of test cases combined with defect management/coordination</p>
<p>·         Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills are a must</p>
<p>·         Strong organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills</p>
<p>·         Must have the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines</p>
<p>·         Knowledge of equity and/or derivatives trading and experience with testing of Automated Trading Systems would be a significant asset</p>
